Miscellaneous Adjustments consequent

on the adoption of the Salaries Report.

*1

We recommend that the words "under $400

per annum in G.0. 102 (10) relating to First end Second Class warrant tickets on the railway should be altered to not exceeding £430 per annum".

83.

We consider that the divisions in the

scale of charges for maintenance in hospital set out in paragraph 5 of G.0. 113. should remain as at

present, save that the free limit should be altered from Under $300 per annum" to "Under $361 per annum". The change if adopted should not be made retrospective but should operate from the date of adoption.

84. We recommend that the division of locally recruited staff for leave purposes contained in 0.0. 145 should be raised to £200 or $1,400 per annum. Similarly the dividing line for Indian Officers in the matter of passages (G.0. 151). should be raised to $600. 85. The allowance to Unpassed Cadet Officers for their Chinese Teachers (G.O. 114) is inadequate in these times and should be increased to $50 per month.
